we have seen that news channels prepare the programm, get it approved and then air it as per requirement of a particular party, which is so well in media management, that sometimes…i feel like saluting them.

All the newspapers, and news channels, as per a report has christian funding and they are working in cohort with the main political party with the idea of maligning other political party, undermining the left intellect.

i dont know, how and why…suddenly RSS came in picture in Ramdev case, how someone tried to throw a sandle on mishra…how come the most foolish moron gets away with his statements, i mean dogvinci singh.

When benji cracks the whip, its atrocity and when congress crushes the aam janta then its compultion….

bhagwan hee janta hai, whats happening but i am sure that once the people in 35-55 yrs of age grp now are out the next gen is going to be violent abt these people ( i have quitely read the young / youth’s comment on corrupting/ sibba/ ramdev/ digvijay/ rahul/ sonia/ nhopal gas and role of congress in letting them loose/ bofors/ black money etc.

lets hope that everything is corrected in time, else we will face a problem of arson/ looting and rioting in future.

I listened to the Vividh Bharti news broadcast today after a long time. 5 minutes of news packed dispassionate, calm and informative content that is not covered in 24 hours of ranting by news channels.

No other channel would have let me know that Mary Kom did India proud and that the Indian Hockey team defeated Malaysia 5-2 in Azlan Shah at their home ground.

I agree with your views, but I don’t think this change is possible. We have two problems – free market, and fast rise of the middle class. The latter has given people with less maturity and no nobility the access to several luxuries. This has created a country full of masses with facilities (e.g. car, houses, etc.) but no civic sense and no deep-rooted maturity. Which is why we will see people continue enjoying lewd comments, cheapies like Rakhi Sawant, spitting tobacco, etc. etc.

About free market being an issue – In a free market, we cannot enforce the use of quality for TRP calculation. And we can neither consider changing our culture in the near future. The only (and unfortunate) solution for free markets to improve is to wait (for a pretty long time) for people to mature, by way of learning from their own mistakes (and we have no choice but to let them make mistakes). This may take years, but once it is established, we will have cultural maturity for good.

useful to know this.

Earlier we listened to a couple of government slaves namely Vividh Bhartis/DD and now to several market slaves like India TVs’/Radio Mirchis’ !!!! Someday, someone will start a truly independent news/radio channel and get rich by broadcasting stuff that we want to hear.

I think the advertisers should also look at quality of viewers. I mean people who watch India TV would rarely buy a product after they see its ad.

india tv is like a viral fever for indian tv channels ..it started the trend of showing fake news and keeps shouting on all these fake news .. now other channels are not behind in race .. like ajj tak , star news … etc etc .. till now ndtv is not affected by this and i can say ndtv is the best news channel in india
