dude.. ur logic would hav been true 15-20 years earlier. Now the poor tribals are just a veil. I have seen naxalism from a very near distance, and they are people who just want to show their existence. They have no vision, no respect for poor people (whom they exploit for money).

u guys without any clue abt the ground realities giving ur opinions aloud. i dont what arundhati says is rite or wrong but i surely respect her courage to take on the power lobbies fearlessly talk about the common people suffering due to state sponsored exploitation and terrorism. i can surely make out the kind of apathy u have for common people. hav u ever thought why these tribal who r normally peace loving people take up guns. history shows the rise tribal rebellion against the oppression by the ruling classes, be it mughals, british or indian govt. go to the naxal affected areas see what indian govt has done since independence. talk to all dam oustees. talk to the people displaced by mining companies (even psu companies) you will get the answer.
