London: Vijay Mallya’s extradition from London to India moved a step ahead yesterday when British Home Secretary signed his extradition orders. This latest development has put Mr. Mallya into depression and he is evaluating his life choices that led him down his path. In the present situation, Mr. Mallya’s biggest regret remains that he bought a team based in Bengaluru instead of choosing one out of Kolkata.
Speaking outside a London Court, Mr. Mallya said, “I know I am not perfect and I have made some mistakes. In hindsight, biggest among them was not buying Kolkata Knight Riders during the IPL auction. If I had done that, I would have become a citizen of Bengal guaranteeing me immunity from these pesky organizations like Enforcement Directorate and CBI.”
Furthermore, he added, “As it is I won fuck all with RCB while KKR won multiple titles despite having Piyush Chawla and Yousuf Pathan in the side. I would have got the chance to celebrate a win for once instead of drowning one loss after another in my own Beer. Caused business losses on multiple fronts.”
“Look how CBI officials were treated in Kolkata when they went there to investigate the chit-fund thing, and here these Britishers keep entertaining requests from Indian agencies and are forcing me to go to India. Even the Courts here aren’t proposing a neutral venue like Switzerland to have a meeting with Indian officials, I am really disappointed with everything and everyone right now”, Mr. Mallya added.
Meanwhile, Lalit Modi sent an e-mail to Mamata Banerjee asking her if she needs anyone to start a Bengal Premier League.
