New Delhi. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman kicked up a storm with her statement that the millennial mindset of using services such as Uber and Ola instead of purchasing vehicles had contributed to the auto sector slowdown. But she has an even more interesting take on the employment numbers which are gradually showing a decline.

Nirmala Ji believes that HR teams of all companies are busy with the most important task of organizing Rangoli competition as part of Diwali celebrations which will take place in October.

In fact, most companies are seeing an increase in attendance as all HR personnel are going to the office and will do so for the next 2 months. Rangoli competition has been and will always be the best tool for team bonding and HR executives work really hard to make it a success. The productivity of private companies increases due to competitions like this and even the MNCs have realized it. Railways in Mumbai has started special local trains for HR managers so that they can reach office on time for the next 2 months.

It is good that finally, a Finance Minister has realized the importance of an HR team in a company and we would hope that the employment numbers will start picking up speed as soon as the festival season ends.
