Food court gives 'special' discount to HR team as they give good business by sitting there full day

Bengaluru: Ramesh Yadav, who runs one of the food court inside Manyata Tech Park in Bengaluru gives special discount of fifteen percent if you belong to HR team.

When we asked what is the logic behind this, he said, “Sir, it’s from pure business point of view I have done that. Let me explain. My ACPUD (average collection per user per day) is 60 rupees where as one HR person gives me hundred fifty rupees minimum in a day”.

“If I split the number little bit, the ACUPD I get from a techie is stretched over eighteen hours at office which means it adds to my cost in terms of manpower, electricity bill, water bill etc. Here the HR person gives me more than double the revenue in just four hours they spend at office. So why I would not give some discount to them?” said Yadav on the logic he has adapted.

Yadav added, “HR team works truly like a team. They will not leave even one of their team member at the office desk and come here. Saath mein aate hain, baith ke baat karte hain, aur mujhe order dete rehte hain. In contrast two techies will come here, will have a cup of tea or coffee while scolding their manager for five minutes, then they will go outside to have a smoke. Kuch kaam ke nahin hai yeh techie log mere liye”.

He has noticed another benefit which he gets due to HR team’s presence at the food court all day.

“Courier persons come here to take their signature. The aquarium person, people who sell or rent indoor plants as most of them keep their desks nicely decorated. All those people eat here, which adds to my business”, said Yadav.

However, Yadav is a worried man. He said, “Heard appraisal cycle for this year is over. Independence Day is coming, followed by Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas, New year, HR team toh office mein dikhegi nahin. Have written to company bosses to make it mandatory for HR team to come to office daily”.
