New Delhi. Presenting his maiden Railway Budget, Suresh Prabhu today announced that some of the night trains between Mumbai and Delhi would be organizing the famous “Jab We Met” train sequence to entertain passengers, which in turn besides increasing coolness quotient of travelling by train, would also help Indian Railways to earn additional revenue.

Indian Railways will be hiring actors to play the characters of wealthy industrialist Aditya and talkative Geet.

Jab We Met
Live your dream, with Indian Railways.

Speaking inside the Parliament, Railway Minister revealed that right from Geet boarding on the train to other chain of events which take place after that in the movie, everything will happen exactly in the same way.

“Although not everybody travelling by the train would be able to see that, passengers present in that particular bogie, and people at Mumbai station, Bar Nagar station and Ratlam station can see parts of the sequence,” said Suresh Prabhu hoping that those passengers who will be present in the train but are unable to see the sequence will still feel good about it, “Isn’t it cool to be travelling by the same train in which something cool like that is happening in the next bogie?”

Adding further, Suresh Prabhu said that at Mumbai, Bar Nagar and Ratlam stations, passengers present in the other bogies could get a glimpse of Geet by peeking out of the gate, as she at some point of time would be running after the train at all these stations.

By taking such initiatives, Indian Railways is eyeing to increase annual income by targeting young and newly married couples who want to do something different to strengthen their personal bonding.

“We will be selling special packages for couples who want to personally experience the whole sequence, instead of just watching it. Be it the presence of female vegetable vendor carrying tomato with whom Geet collides at Bar Nagar station or the station master who says, ‘Akeli ladki khuli tijori samaan hoti hai’, everything will be taken care of by the Indian Railways,” said the Railway Minister explaining the tour package, “And yes, cabs with drivers who are afraid of driving fast will be present outside Bar Nagar station to take the couples to the Ratlam station.”

As per tour package rules, after the police raid on the Ratlam hotel, couples will be provided bus tickets to Delhi, where they will receive their luggage bags.
