
With a special police force to protect them from evil doers, statues of Mayawati could now peacefully speak up their mind on Twitter. Sounds unbelievable? But this has been made possible by Avinash Singh, a final year Electronics and Communication Engineering student at IIT Kanpur, who has designed a gadget that could create automated tweets for Mayawati statutes based upon the surroundings and ongoing events in the vicinity.

Google continues to learn from facebook; after opening up Google Wave for third party developers and introducing better networking and sharing features in it, Google has now tried to integrate the “suggestions” features of facebook into their latest offering – Nexus One, the android phone by Google. Based upon your call and chat history, Nexus One will suggest a list of people to call when you update your status.

Several families in different cities of India were duped by a conman who sold them ordinary bottled water on pretext of selling water found on moon. The residents believed the conman as they had earlier read and heard the news about water being discovered on moon by Chandrayaan. The conman had showed them fake pictures claiming that the moon water was bottled and sanctioned by ISRO.

Several people went crazy with joy as local IIT Nerd Abhay Prakash S. spent an entire day of abstinence from recounting silly experiences from his time at IIT Madras (Metallurgical and Coconut Engineering Specialization). But their joy was short lived as Abhay ended his day of abstinence at 7.00 PM and promptly recounted a series of anecdotes filled with IIT slangs that none in his audience of neighborhood friends (and their parents) could follow.
