New Delhi: Earlier today, Congress appointed Priyanka Vadra as the General Secretary of Congress party and put her in-charge of Eastern UP region. The news led to wild celebrations among Congress workers and in news studios but it left some people in eastern UP worried. The landowners across the region started worrying about their land holdings with the imminent arrival of Robert Vadra to support his wife during her political career.

However, they need not worry at all as per the Congress party. Party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala has assured everyone that Mr. Vadra will not be accompanying his wife during her political rallies and campaign in the region. The party has also said that it can’t do anything if Mr. Vadra goes there in his personal capacity the way Kapil Sibal went to see a laughter show on EVMs in London in his personal capacity.

While it has calmed down the landowners to some extent, the worry over the future still remains among them. Speaking to Faking News, a farmer from Deoria district said, “They are saying he will not come but then they didn’t really announce his arrival in Gurgaon and Rajasthan either so we don’t know what to believe. We are thinking about selling our land as right now we will get full market price. Later on, who knows when the documents will start showing Vadra Ji as the owner of this land. Who will fight for 100 years in Courts to prove it is ours, better to sell now and take what we can.”

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra has attacked Congress for promoting dynasty again by making Priyanka Vadra a General Secretary. Mr. Patra has also reminded Amit Shah that he is still not a general secretary despite hearing abuses for last 5 years on party’s behalf.
