Mumbai: After weeks of uncertainty, some clarity is emerging over the next government in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress are likely to come together to form the government. The alliance was confirmed when Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut started attacking Sonia Gandhi today after years of attacking BJP and its leaders.
Attacking alliance partners is a long held tradition of Shiv Sena and this attack on Sonia Gandhi is seen as a very positive step by all political pundits keeping an eye on Maharashtra. After a long time, Mr. Raut refused to comment on BJP and focused all his energy on attacking Congress President and her Party.
Speaking to the press, Mr. Raut said ,”Congress is a thoroughly corrupt party and so are its leaders. They are totally disconnected from ground realities and are full of arrogance. They are highly untrustworthy and very opportunistic, and therefore we have decided to enter into an alliance with them.”
Though some people were still skeptical about the alliance since Mr. Raut is yet to attack NCP but experts believe that attacking one part of INC-NCP alliance is good enough indication of the strong alliance that will follow.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP have hidden all their MLAs in Virar Local to make sure Amit Shah never manages to reach them.
