Mumbai. This week saw the release of two films, both centred on India and nationhood. However, Vicky Kaushal’s Uri seems to be finding greater traction with viewers than Anupam Kher’s The Accidental Prime Minister, according to early estimates. There were many stories of people coming out in interval of Accidental PM and joining to watch the 2nd half of URI in another screen.
Shwetank Srivastava was one such lad in Mumbai. He was eagerly waiting for the Accidental PM to release and went to watch it first day first show. But like many other viewers, he too felt the film was boring. So Shwetank who had ample time on his hands, came out interval bought the ticket of URI and watched the second half of URI.
It was only after one day of watching the film that he connected both pieces and realized that Manmohan Singh ordered the surgical strike. While he was watching the final few minutes of the first half of Accidental PM, the movie was about to sho and important decision taken by Manmohan Singh. And Shwetank realized what that decision was when he saw the surgical strike video in the second half of URI.
Shwetank has even approached the Congress party to let them know what a huge role Manmohan Singh ji played in the Surgical strike and that MMS should get the credit for the amazing movie that URI is.
