Chennai. Bigg boss Tamil will be dubbed to Tamil, as most of the housemates speak in English, says the channel about the leading TV show in the state. The dubbed version will be a late-night telecast followed by the prime time, it is announced by the channel.
“Currently, the show is going live with mostly Tamil sub titles running for 45 minutes to 1 hour. In a team of 10 members, less than fifty percent of the housemates know to write or speak in Tamil. We are planning to dub the show in Tamil and release it as a second telecast. The funny thing is that we give Tamil literature for them to sing about and many tasks are also based on local culture” the producer of the show told Faking News.
“Learning English and not the mother tongue is the current trend in almost all the states of India. Even for a few contestants speaking in Tamil, sometimes we had to add subtitles. And some of them do not know Tamil words other than a choice few bad words. Taking all the factors, we have decided to dub the show” he further added.
“Already many people are saying that the entire show is scripted. Now with dubbing the show and releasing it with someone else’s voice, they will conclude that it is a directed sequence of events. Whatever, I don’t really care much about this. The show has given me the much needed popularity for me to work back in Tamil films” an unknown actress and a new found celebrity told Faking News.
With the show going to be dubbed, the housemates need not wear the mics all the time, the producer of the show told Faking News much to the relief of the bigg boss contestants, around the world.
