Mumbai: Several movie-goers called it a nice work of fiction, but seemed to be of the opinion that it glorified the actor and showed him as a victim. Yes, we are talking about Sanju the movie. Sanju, the biopic on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt, is raking in the moolah at the box office, but on Twitter, people have a different opinion about the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer film. Even as most critics and audience seem to have liked the biopic so far, but going by the buzz on social media, many seem to be of the opinion that the film whitewashes the actor’s involvement in the 1993 Bombay blasts case. The case has been made stronger now with none other than Alok Nath the poster boy of good image angry on the producers for showing his life on screen and calling it Sanju’s life.
According to Alok Nath, the things done by Sanju’s character in the movie are things he does daily. His life is full of good deeds, having faith in God, not listening to what people say. Alok is pretty angry with Raju Hirani as he is a director known for his honesty in the industry circle. Though Alok Nath disagrees that he ever took drugs or kept any gun with him, he believes that 90% of the film is based on his character.
The ball is in the court of the producers to decide if some credit for Sanju’s character should be given to Alok Nath or not but even the netizens believe that it is the story of Alok Nath. Yesterday we had the fan army of Alok Nath who made him super popular by making his means taking out a protest march in Mumbai.
