Mumbai: After the remake of Marathi film Sairat, Producer-Director Karan Johar is set to bring another remake to the silver screen later this year. This time Karan Johar has gone international and will be remaking Avengers-Infinity War in Hindi. The film will be a sequel to the smash hit Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, the 2001 film directed by Mr. Johar.
As per sources, the scene of Thanos crying in the film instantly reminded Karan Johar of his own films and he started thinking how he can adapt the script for Bollywood audience.
Confirming the news, an employee of Dharma Productions said, “Karan Sir has produced remake of a Hindi film, Agneepath, now producing remake of a Marathi film, Sairat, so now he wanted to go international and produce a remake of a Hollywood film. Since it is a very ambitious project, he has decided to direct this one as well. For a long time, he was searching for the right script for the sequel of K3G as well and the family drama in Infinity War struck the right chord.”
“I can’t give out too many details but the film will focus on the family drama in Thanos household. The dynamics between Thanos, Gamora and Nebula will be showcased in the film. Fans of the original K3G will be able to relate to the film instantly with Thanos being similar to Bachchan Sir, Gamora similar to SRK and Nebula being Hrithik Roshan. Instead of 2 boys, this time the family patriarch will have 2 daughters so feminist angle will also be covered”, he added.
Meanwhile, after hearing the news, many Marvel fans in India were wondering if a real life Thanos can make Bollywood disappear with a snap of his fingers.
