Mumbai. The teaser of Karan Johar’s much-anticipated saga Kalank, featuring an ensemble cast of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha dropped on Tuesday.

Larger than life characters, grand Sanjay-Leela-Bhansali-looking set and minimalist narration got the viewers talking about the film. But there are again allegations of Nepotism against Karan Johar. Kalank is an epitome of nepotism with Sonakshi, Varun, Alia, Aditya, and Sanjay Dutt all being star kids.

Karan Johar though clarified in his press meet that Kalank, in fact, is his way of fighting nepotism. Casting so many star kids in a single movie would make other movies star free as the star kids will not have dates to sign other movies till the time they are shooting for Kalank. And that indeed is true. Great makers like Farah Khan, Rohit Shetty, and others were trying to get the dates of Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and others but it was tough to get as kalank had a rigorous shoot schedule and the star kids were kept busy by Dharma Productions.

In the coming months, Dharma will launch more and more star kids so that other movies have a chance to showcase the talent and not just the glamour of the star kids.
