Multiplexes should provide gas connection in cinemas for people to make their own popcorn: Maharashtra Govt

15, Jul 2018 By Sandeep Kadian

Mumbai: days after allowing outside food inside multiplexes, Maharashtra Govt has taken another landmark step, they have asked multiplexes to provide a gas connection inside cinema halls so that they can cook their own popcorn. This way, people can enjoy hot popcorn without having to pay through their nose for a bucket of popcorn.

This step has been hailed across the board but the staff selling popcorn at a multiplex are particularly pleased with it. Now they are certain that no MNS leader will come and beat them up for the high prices of popcorn.

Speaking to Faking News, Devendra Fadnavis said, “We don’t want to interfere in private businesses but this popcorn issue was a matter of national emergency. We did allow outside food to be taken in but the popcorn would have been cold by then so people won’t be able to enjoy them and as we know, real enjoyment if movie is through popcorn.”

“Now people can take raw corn and go inside where they will get a fully furnished kitchen where they can make fresh popcorn. Any cinema hall not complying with my popcorn law will face up to 15 years in jail”, the Maharashtra CM added.

Meanwhile, as per sources in CMO, the next step is to ask multiplexes to provide bathroom inside cinema halls so that people can take a bath without missing their film.
