New Delhi: Raju Hirani’s ‘Sanju’ is already breaking box office records all over India and now it may deliver India’s highest civilian honour to Sanjay Dutt, the man on whose life the film is based. Indian PM Narendra Modi saw the film last night with his cabinet colleagues and immediately decided to recommend Sanjay Dutt’s name for Bharat Ratna to the President.
Once President approves, Sanjay Dutt will become the first Bollywood actor and 3rd film personality after Satyajit Ray and Lata Mangeshkar to receive Bharat Ratna.
Speaking to the media, a spokesperson for PMO said ,”We were not aware of the greatness of Sanju baba. Thanks to Raju Hirani for opening our eyes and showing that Sanjay Dutt is the greatest human being ever born. The entire cabinet demanded Bharat Ratna for him with tears in their eyes once the film concluded. After taking 5 minutes to stop his tears, PM Modi agreed and immediately left for Rashtrapati Bhavan to propose Sanju baba’s name for the award.”
“Everyone present also realised that judicial system’s failure led to Sanju baba spending 5 years in prison and to compensate for that, he will be allowed free access to the Prime Minister residence for a period of 5 years. He can stay here as long as he wants, after all the house is anyway vacant with Modi Ji out campaigning all the time”, he went on to add.
Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal has slammed PM Modi for interfering in Delhi CM’s work by watching and reviewing films.
