Mumbai. Tanishk Bagchi’s “reimagination” of Masakali left even AR Rahman mad who slammed the recreated version on social media. Tanishk has been the pioneer when it comes to recreations and remakes. And that is the reason that he became angry when a producer demanded an original song from him.

Tanishk filed a defamation case against Shwetank Srivastava who is a big producer in Bollywood. Shwetank was making a low budget movie and had heard someone say that Tanishk has a nice sense of hit music. He arranged for a meeting and asked Tanishk to deliver a few original songs according to the storyline.

As soon as Tanishk heard this, he stood up from his chair and asked Shwetank to ‘get out’ from the office. The next day Shwetank got a court notice saying Tanishk has filed a defamation case against him and there will be a court hearing after the lockdown phase.

Many people now feel that Tanishk can give original music and hence his credibility has gone downwards. He will have to work hard and produce some remakes soon to make people believe in him again. He has also conveyed to his fans on social media that he will only provide remakes and they can rest assured.
