Masakali 2.0 was released yesterday and the song already seems to be rubbing listeners the wrong way.

Many of those who were unfortunate enough to check out the song on Youtube complained of burning eyes and earache. After the song went viral on social media, the aforementioned symptoms has prompted netizens to urge the Govt to announce a lockdown on remix videos as well.

Speaking to Faking News, one such listener said, “I checked out the song just out of curiosity. I liked the first one, so thought this may be good as well. But little did I know that it would be an assault on my senses. After I finished watching the video, there was a burning sensation in my eyes and an intense ache in my ears. For a moment I thought I had corona. Luckily the pain went away after sometime.”

There were increasing calls for actions against such remixes.

“All these so called artistes, who do nothing but remix old popular songs, should be put under quarantine. This will stop them from coming out such

Pigeon community has also taken offence at the latest version of the song. The community was angry that here was not even single pigeon in the video whereas the earlier version gave them considerable screen time.

Though Govt has not given any assurance on this matter, however distribution of special masks is being actively considered by the Ministry of health.

“These masks are to be worn over the eyes and the ears. It will save you the headache of viewing and listening to remixed songs,” said a highly placed official from the Health Ministry.
