Bollywood actor Salman Khan couldn’t have asked for a better gift this Eid after he made it to the 9th spot on Forbes list of highest paid actors across the globe.
The recognition has however come at a price. Brothers Sohail and Arbaaz are now demanding a hike in their monthly pocket money. Given the fact that Salman is the only earning member in the family, the listing on Forbes has put the Race3 star in a spot.
Many believe the man is single-handedly supporting the livelihood of not just his brothers but many actors from Bollywood.
Apparently, a heated argument took place between the three brothers after Salman refused to provide them with any further money. It was only after father Salim Khan intervened that things were brought under control.
“He has too many mouths to provide for. Not just his brothers, Salman’s lawyers too are dependent on him. Not to mention the witnesses of his black buck case, who treat him like an ATM, need bhai for financial support,” said an industry insider.
A close friend of the Khans revealed that Sohail and Arbaaz demanded a 50% hike, which was flatly refused by Salman.
“It is not fair on the part of his brothers to free-ride like this. Bhai ke paas khud ke liye paisa nahi hai toh doosron ko kaha se de. He is on a cost cutting mode to save money. Hasn’t used a scriptwriter for his movies since a decade. Khud his apne scenes ko choreograph, direct, edit, sing karte hai bhai. Ki kuch paise bach jaye,” said the friend.
