For single men who proposed and got friend-zoned, Govt announces relief package if voted to power

In feverish pitch to woo young voters, BJP today announced that it will provide a relief package for those single men who proposed to their lady love and got friend-zoned.

Surprisingly no such mention was made by Finance Minister Piyush Goyal when he presented the Union Budget a week back. But given the fact that single men form a major portion of the electorate and could significantly influence election results, this move was announced by the Govt.

The details of the relief package have not yet been shared with the media but the news has seen many singles from the engg community, especially from the mechanical stream, praising the Govt for it’s policy.

As per an agency report, around 23% of the population, which comprises single men who end up being friend-zoned would benefit from this scheme.

This announcement has rattled the Congress Party and several political experts feel that this one move might tilt the scales in favor of the BJP.

“I don’t remember any Govt particularly doing anything for single men. Their sentiments are as important as any other category of voters. This one move might obliterate any dreams of the so called Mahagatbandhan of coming to power. This could be the game changer,” remarked a political analyst.

Not to be left behind, Congress party has woken up the imminent threat from the BJP. Insiders say that the party too is planning to come out with some scheme for singles in a bid to eat into the voteshare. “Congress party singles ka dard samajhti hai. Rahulji khud itne vashon se single rahe hai. Unse behtar kaun samjhega. Agar humari sarkaar bahi toh singles ko arakshan dene ka prastav jald hi rakhne vale hain,” said spokesperson Randeep Surjewala.
