Mumbai: Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi is set for a return for the 9th season soon and this time, competitors will be faced with their toughest challenge till date. All the contestants will be given a task to vote against Trinamool Congress in the state of Bengal. Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi is an Indian stunt/dare reality game show, based on the American program Fear Factor and it airs on Color TV.
Due to the dangerous nature of the stunt, contestants will be required to sign a document saying that the channel or the show’s makers will not be responsible if anything happens to the contestants during this task.
Speaking to Faking News, one of the executive producers associated with the show said,” Every year we try to increase the risk factor to provide more thrill to our audience. While doing research for this season, we were again looking at the various tasks that can be added to increase the difficulty level for the contestants and that is when we saw the coverage of Bengal Panchayat polls on news channels. This task has all the ingredients we look for in a task and we immediately decided to include this task in the program.”
“Of course, this is more dangerous than anything else we have ever tried but you have to try and raise the bar every season. That is how it works. Our special security team of ex-commandoes will be on hand to provide safety to the contestants and there will be an expert team of doctors to treat any injury suffered by the contestants”, he went on to add.
As per sources, there was also a proposal to include the task of supporting Congress in an election but experts decided against a task that is likely to cause severe emotional distress to the contestants.
