British Government in a press release today announced that they are offering knighthood to Rabindranath Tagore for the second time. Tagore returned his first knighthood in protest of the killing of civilians in Jallianwala bagh. Recently, some old letters written by Tagore to his french girlfriend are discovered in Kolkata which reveals that Tagore was upset about this decision. He even mention that it was a decision from the heat of the moment. Later he was quite interested to get the knighthood back but unfortunately could not able to express his desire publicly as he also had a Sikh girlfriend. After these letter were found, British Government decided to honor the great poet again but this time posthumously. Lots of people in India and West Bengal already expressed their happiness over this decision since they believe that the addition of the word ``Sir" in front to Rabindranath is required to make the poet relevant for the modern generation.
