"Personally, I will be unhappy if the Commonwealth Games are successful," Aiyar, a nominated Rajya Sabha member, told reporters outside parliament. Mr Manishankar told FN, he is making secret plans to stall the games.
He was joined in protest by Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh who said that the games will cause an environment problem, as lot of people will perspire at the same time. Mr Aiyar agreed with this claim, saying it will lead to bad smell in already smelly areas of Delhi.
His claim was however contrasted from across the border, by SH Qureishi, saying that his comment on the eve of the games was in bad taste. Mr Aiyar however sent some Ras Malai to him – saying it will improve his taste.
Delhi CM Sheila Diskhit has said she has ordered an extra crate of deo sprays to control body odour of athletes. She has ordered one for Mr Aiyar too.
Meanwhile, contractors of Commonewealth Games, have accused Mr Aiyar of again spreading the malba that was removed last month from Games venues. They have claimed sabotage.
There is a shortage of Malba in various parts of the country, because of Mr Aiyar’s conceited efforts. Rag pickers have even complained to Human Rights Commission. “He is even stealing our garbage from colonies,” complained a rag picker. Builders like DLF and Unitech have also complained that malba from their sites was found stolen.
Meanwhile, there is smell across highways which are witnessing high traffic jams. Trucks loaded with banana peels are plying from all parts of India towards Lutyens Delhi. “I plan to litter the athletic tracks with peels before the track and field events like 100 metres and Marathon,” Mr Aiyar added.
His supporters making sure that the wrong weights should be placed at the weightlifting events. “We want to make sure that none of the lifters is able to lift this time. We are inserting wieights with concrete,” a supporter said on a condition of anonymity. “It will make Aiyar saab happy,” he added.
Last night he was caught stealing nuts and bolts from a streetlight in Patparganj. “We have requested Aiyar sahib to steal from some other area in Delhi,” says SHO of Patparganj Police Station. "This was the second time the nuts have gone missing. It seems to be a nut-case,” he added. FIR of missing nuts has been filed.
Noise barriers sheets and a bagful of missing metro tokens, were also recovered from a Lal Batti car, SHO of Vasant Kunj police station told FN: “The sheets were stolen them the newly constructed Munirka flyowver,” he says. Meanwhile, labourers at the CWG site suffering from loose motions, have also complained of sabotage.
The other day Mr Aiyar was found loitering near Suresh Kalmadi and MS Gill’s cars. After the meeting, their tyres were found deflated. “We are carrying extra tyres now as a safety precaution,” added Mr Kalmadi. The government has ordered extra tyres from MRF for vehicles carrying athletes too.
