Facing the serious mismanagement charges from MPs, Railway minister tried to calm them up by declaring compensation of one lac each for the lack of comfort they had to face during their 2nd class AC journey.
Speaking to media, Railway minister Dinesh Trivedi said, “we completely acknowledge the fact that some employees goofed up the travel plan made well before 3 days of their travel, as they were travelling with their families, they had to face severe discomfort in 2nd class AC coaches. Though this one lac will not be enough compare to the inconvenience they faced”.
This act of generosity was greatly appreciated by the MPs. While conveying the moments of misery to media, one MP said, “We were boarding the train from Patna when we came to know that seats are not reserved, I was shocked when I came to know this, when it can happen to representatives of people, what will happen to common man?” adding to the story, he said “We were travelling with our family, and small kids, how can we take them for loo in the compartment which is already so filthy? This was disgrace to our railway management”
Some of the railway officials had to face suspension for the traumatic experience faced by MP. Over 20 officials have been suspended for the mismanagement caused by railway.
Our faking news reporter has covered one of the spouse who were in the 2nd class coach to ask her about miserable journey, She said “I was told to go to upper birth so that my husband can play cards and have some drinks with other MPs, when I was crawling through the ladder, my head was banged with the low sealing of the coach, I drank a lot of water in the moments of rush, but couldn’t dare to come down again as I was traumatized by first crawling experience.” Adding to her statement she also mentioned that she asked her husband to gift her 1 KG gold to compensate for this inconvenience. When we approached her husband for the statement, He said “I am not satisfied by the amount railway has offered to us for inconvenience because I can not buy my wives happiness in it, meanwhile I must say, she has asked for very little if I consider the misery she faced, She is lovely.”
