In a landmark agreement that promises to provide a healing touch to the present combative political environment , Congress and BJP have agreed to take an extended vacation for the next two years. Few political observers expected such bitter enemies to find common ground in something as basic as a desire to not work. A BJP spokesperson said, “It would great if we could work together. But, not working at all is the next best thing”. A Congress party spokeperson, who stood shoulder to shoulder with his BJP counterpart, helpfully added, “In two years, we’ll be rested and ready for what the Indian people expect us to do – work on the next big scam”. In the meanwhile, Smt. Meira Kumar, Speaker of the Lok Sabha has warned that the parliament could cause severe depression among the Indian people by simply convening.
