Arun Jaitely says he can manage five more ministries ahead of Cabinet reshuffle

With cabinet reshuffle around the corner, Finance Minister Arun Jaitely made a big statement stating that he is ready to handle a few more ministries if Modi is willing to give him.

Already with Finance, Defence and Corporate affairs ministry under his belt, Jaitely made it clear that he can look after a few more ministries.

On Sunday, Mr. Jaitley while addressing a press conference said, “If given a choice and considering the lack of able ministers in BJP, I can handle a few more ministries.”

He further added, “India is currently witnessing the weakest opposition in the history, so even if I made a blunder nobody will criticise.”

His statement not only made headlines for news channels but also created a sense of insecurity among the party members. Congress and BJP both slammed Arun Jaitley on social media platforms.

Congress spokesperson, Sanjay Jha taking a dig at Jaitley’s statement tweeted, “Arun Jaitley is taking so many responsibilities that ISIS might hire him.”

BJP spokesman, Sambit Patra defended Jaitley’s statement and said “BJP’s one MP is equal to 44 Congress’ MPs.”

One person taking various responsibilities shows one’s capability but at the same time it also speaks about lack of capable leaders. BJP is planning for a cabinet shuffle very soon, lets see who gets what and who loses what.
