Bajrang Dal activists caught a couple red handed while exchanging rose in front of their college. The activists reprimanded couple for ignoring their advice of exchanging Kamal ka Phool on this day.
“We had issued a notification in this regard a week back. It was put in front of every park and college where historically rose day is celebrated,” said Manju Pujari, Bajrang Dal rose-day program manager.
“Not only that, I have worked for last three months to ensure our supply chain is streamlined. Adequate quantity of Lotus is available across the country for next seven days ending on Valentine’s day”.
Highlighting some of the initiatives his organization has taken, Mr. Pujari added, “Asked my team to hand over enough lotus seeds to farmers in lotus business. We have relocated flower vendors selling lotus in front of temples to rose day celebration joints.”
“My parents, relatives warned me, God won’t like me doing this. But I have full faith in God, for maintaining our Bharatiya Sabhyata, I am doing all these. I have no ill intention,” he said.
Opposition parties have slammed the move of converting Rose day to Kamal Day. “We will ask EC to look in to it. BJP is spending money under this head to make their symbol popular and avoid this expenditure from their election expenditure,” said Sanjay Jha while speaking to us.
Meanwhile in Chennai, Rajnikanth’s fan have opposed Kamal day. “Why we will promote Thalaiva Rajni sir’s rival in politics Kamal Hassan? We will celebrate the day as Rajni day and will exchange Rajanigandha flowers instead,” said a Rajni fan.
