Kolkata: Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has taken her battle against Ram up a notch by banning the name in the state. After arresting people for chanting “Jai Shri Ram”, this escalation from Mamata Di’s side came as people refused to stop chanting Ram’s name.

MamataEveryone with Ram in their names have been served notice by Bengal Government asking them to change their names within the next 7 working days. Everyone who doesn’t comply with the order will be arrested and forced to look at Mamata Banerjee’s paintings for one full year.

Foreigners with Ram in their names won’t get Visa for Bengal as well unless they agree to change their names. As per Government sources, there are plans to ban the name Narendra as well to make sure Modi doesn’t get to campaign during the assembly elections in 2021.

Speaking to Faking News, a government official on the condition of anonymity said, “Mamata Di has been hounded by this name during the past few months and she has been unable to concentrate on the growth of the state. Businessmen discuss investment proposals and Didi hears Jai Shri Ram. Farmers discuss their problems and Didi hears Jai Shri Ram. Chit-fund scam accused discuss their bail and Didi hears Jai Shri Ram. All this is really affecting the growth of our state so we have rightly decided to ban this name from the state.”

Meanwhile, Bengal Govt has asked mobile phone manufacturers to remove RAM from their phones and replace it with any other memory.
