Bihar minister asks Justin Beiber to perform at his son's wedding, singer refuses

Pop sensation Justin Beiber has not even landed in India and is in news already after a Minister from Bihar asked the singer to perform at his son’s wedding.

Sources from the Canadian singers entourage confirmed the news and said that the singer was offered an undisclosed amount to sing a few Bollywood songs during the sangeet ceremony. “Yes it’s true. We receive a request and we made it clear that Justin is performing in India as part of the Purpose Tour and will not be performing at private events,” said the Event Manager for the tour.

The wedding ceremony is apparently taking place on the 11th and there was a request from a few guests to have Justin sing for them. Though it seems that the plan will not materialize, it has not dampened the spirits of the guests, who are now planning to get a local singer for the event.

No sooner news channels started reporting it, Beliebers took to twitter to vent their anger. Some calling themselves ‘ Beiber rakshaks’ threatened to beat up anyone who came up with such ridiculous requests.

In his defense the Minister clarified that he was not aware that the Canadian singer sings only English songs and mistook him for some aspiring singer named Jatin Babbar. “Chokre ka photowa dekhe nahi the isliye kanfoojan(confusion) ho gaya. Laga koi gaon me ghoom ke nautanki karne wala hoga,” said a spokesperson for the minister.
