BJP leader calls off marriage after realizing bride hasn’t linked Aadhaar to phone number

A young Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader from Uttar Pradesh called off his marriage upon the realisation that his to-be-wife hasn’t linked her Aadhaar Card to her phone number. The wedding was called off just before the pheras, which led to complete chaos at the last minute of the function. The leader, who is a youth icon in BJP, was seemingly upset when the bride confessed of not having her Aadhaar Card linked to her phone number when she was asked about her dirty secret.

“Although the Supreme Court is yet to deliver a verdict on the issue, has repeatedly reprimanded and asked the Centre to explain the reason behind compulsory linking of the Aadhaar Card to mobile number, this anti-national behaviour from my finance is unacceptable. Opposing BJP’s views is sedition and I would never marry an anti-national,” said the youth icon. The groom was so upset that he had to be taken to a nearby gaushala to recover from the shock.

The function was attended by major leaders from the party, namely PM Narendra Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, FM Arun Jaitley, and also Arnab Goswami. It is rumoured that the marriage was called off to impress senior leaders from the party who attended the event. However, Zee News editor-in-chief Sudhir Chaudhary, who attended the event, denied the rumour.

The bride, who was devastated after her marriage was called off, fainted on the spot. Upon recovering, she revealed that she lost her consciousness after getting tired of standing during the National Anthem and National Song which were played in a loop before the ceremony.

“He made me open a bank account in SBI where I had to maintain a minimum balance; even a fugitive like Vijay Mallya has a better life than I do. He also linked my Aadhaar Card to LPG, then stopped the gas subsidy completely. He made my mother link her Aadhaar Card to various schemes, the details of which were leaked in the Big Data leak on the government website. He convinced me that the death of my father while standing in the bank queue during demonetisation was a small sacrifice as soldiers are dying every day at the border. Now, who will do my kanyadaan? He also made me listen to BJP leader Navin Kumar Singh’s version of Vande Mataram just to see if I will stay by his side no matter what—and this is what I get in return,” she said, before getting arrested on charges of sedition.
