New Delhi. Election Commission has been trying to screen and find out candidates who cross the line while campaigning. There are allegations on EC that it has failed to punish people who are making a mockery of the ‘model code of conduct’. And that is the reason that EC has decided to take help of MS Dhoni in deciding whether the candidate has crossed the line or not. Dhoni will give his inputs to EC officials on each and every case after looking at the evidence on hands.
MS Dhoni is no stranger to lightning-quick stumpings and against Delhi Capitals, the brilliance of the Chennai Super Kings skipper was in full display. Dhoni pulled off two brilliant dismissals to account for the wickets of Chris Morris and Shreyas Iyer as CSK marched on to a victory in the Indian Premier League.
And Dhoni’s heroics haven’t gone unnoticed. Many wicket-keepers in the country were seen applying for new jobs on naukri.com as they don’t see themselves playing for India as long as Mahi is in such scintillating form. Many believe that Dhoni will play in the 2023 world cup woo. Mahi will now take out time and sit with EC officials, see the video clippings of the campaigning and decide whether the candidate has crossed the line or not just like he does when he is behind the wicket.
At first, the EC was going to approach the third umpire to do the task but even the third umpire recommended MSD’s name for the task.
