It’s bad news for singer-actor Wiz Khalifa’s fans in India as his live concert, scheduled in Goa this December, has been called off after failing to create a buzz amongst the enthusiasts. Sources reveal that with less than a month to go for the mega event, 80% tickets for the highly-awaited concert were unsold. The organisers, who invested big in the concert, have now substituted Wiz Khalifa with Mia Khalifa in order to not just recover the losses but earn surplus profits.
Keeping in view the magnitude of Mia Khalifa’s fan base in India, the organisers have announced that she will be performing live at the concert, giving the fans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the spectacle. All the tickets for the event were sold within an hour after the organisers roped in Mia Khalifa.
However, the organisers have not yet revealed about the duration of the performance. “Mia has featured in videos ranging from 2 minutes to 2 hours. So, it is very difficult for us to disclose how long her performance will last in Goa. However, we will try our best to convince her to perform well so that more number of people come,” said the chief organiser.
With BJP government in power in the state, there is a high probability that the event will face a backlash. Clearing the air surrounding the concert, Mia Khalifa said, “If they can watch me in the Parliament, what problem do they have in watching me live?” She further added that she will give free first-row passes to politicians so that they learn how to carry out tasks smoothly.
Mia looked very excited to perform in India. Speaking exclusively to us, she said, “Indians search me the most on the Internet. I feel overwhelmed to be a part of this tour. I am also planning a special performance for engineers in India as my secretary has told me that I am the most searched by them.”
