Kejriwal’s flawless recitation of Hanuman Chalisa to appeal to the Hindu vote bank has failed to find any favor with the BJP. Ahead of the Delhi elections both political opponents have their daggers drawn as the date for voting comes closer.
BJP Delhi President Manoj Tiwari accused Kejriwal of fooling the citizens of Delhi in a desperate attempt for votes. While speaking to reporters Tiwari said that being a singer himself, he could spot in an instant what Kejriwal was up to.
“I have been a singer and stage performer all my life. Ek nazar me hi bata sakta hu ki aadmi sach me gaa raha hai ya lip-sync kar raha hai. Lekin desh ki bholi bhali janata ko aur kitna gumraah karoge. Ye bhi ek tarah ka terrorism hai. Lekin desh ki janata ab sab kuch jaan chuki hai,” he said while speaking at a press conference.
Tiwari also said that he has in his posession evidence that clearly shows that Hanuman Chalisa was playing on Kejriwals smartphone, while he was merely lip-syncing. “Humare paas ek video hai jisme dikh raha hai ki Kejriwalji ne smartphone ko apne sweater ne chupa ke rakha hai. Ye video hum jald hi social media pe share karne wale hai,” he asserted.
BJP sources say that a press conference will be held later in the day to expose the Delhi CM. Manoj Tiwari and other BJP leaders are expected to be present.
Meanwhile, AAP has not given any official response to BJP’s remarks. Arvind Kejriwal however responded by saying, “Desh ki janata jawab degi.”
