Poor Air Quality in the capital is making the life of the people in Delhi miserable. But not everyone of complaining about the smog. Makers of Housefull 4 had a reason cheer after it was found that most people thronged cinema halls to escape the polluted air.
Sources say that even on weekday we saw 100% occupancy. “We had to run additional shows and open the cinema halls early in the morning to accommodate people. In fact some even refused to vacate their seats after the show. We had to play the national anthem on loop to make them stand up and then physically carry them out,” said a theater owner.
However, many experts were of the opinion that the numbers shouldn’t be misconstrued as the movie’s popularity. “People are desperate to escape from the toxic air. Movie halls provide some respite, so many prefer spending time there. And with Housefull 4 currently in cinemas, they honestly have no other option,” remarked an expert.
Some movie goers did agree with the aforementioned remark. “Before coming to the theater, I took medical advice from my family doctor and though he said that Housefull 4 was equally harmful. It’s like we are between a rock and a hard place. But we can do little to mitigate the situation. We have to choose between lesser of the two evils,” revealed a South Delhi resident.
That somehow did not dampen the enthusiasm of Housefull 4 cast and people associated with the movie. The cast celebrated with a success party where movie makers announced that they’d soon start shooting for Housefull 5.
