Man challenges Arun Jaitley to a Cricket match with 3 yrs 'Cess-Exemption' as the prize

New Delhi: It is said that art imitates life but in India, life is imitating art with a real life sequel of Lagaan in the offing. A Delhi based engineer has challenged Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to a cricket match asking for a 3 yrs cess exemption if his team wins the match. He is ready to pay 3 times the applicable cess on every item if his team loses to Mr. Jaitley’s team.

Will Rajesh celebrate like this at the end of it all?

Rajesh, a Mechanical Engineer in his late 20s got this idea while watching a rerun of the popular Bollywood film Lagaan on TV this past weekend. Now Rajesh has put together a playing XI from his colony and challenged Mr. Jaitley who is free to pick up 11 players of his choice as per the terms of the challenge.

Speaking to Faking News, Rajesh said ,”All the taxes and the cess on top of them is just breaking my back. No matter how hard I try, I can’t stop my bank account from showing Aryabhatta’s gift to the world during the last week of the month. On top of that there is a constant threat of a new cess being introduced every other day, I don’t want to live like that. If we win, at least me and millions more like me will get a 3 years breathing period without any cess. If we lose, I am willing to pay 3 times the applicable cess this for the next 365 days. I have to take that risk for the benefit of my fellow countrymen.”

“Jaitley Ji can pick any 11 players of his choice, from his party or from the entire NDA coalition or even from Congress, Amit Shah Ji can surely arrange that, and face us in the field of play. With his DDCA experience, surely he is more knowledgeable about the game than us so he is at an advantage but we have the spirit, and the fear of cess driving us so I am sure we will be more than a match”, Rajesh added.

Finance Ministry is yet to respond to this challenge by Rajesh but he is not losing hope. He plans to request Aamir Khan to approach PM Modi with this plan. “Aamir will get a great story for a sequel to his film, I am sure he will help us. Also, he played a Mechanical Engineer in 3 idiots and you know, Mechanchies always stick up for one another.”
