Man stops at eating just one kaju katli; called to teach self-control at yoga center

21, Oct 2017 By Akash Vadera

Diwali is a festival of lights as well as sweets. How many times has it happened that you saw a box of kaju katli on Diwali and thought “Let me just grab one piece” and ended up eating the whole box? If you have, you are not alone. It is only human to just think of eating one kaju katli and then end up eating the whole box.

However, this is not true for Mumbai-based Sanyam Mishra! He has been called by The Yoga Institute in Mumbai to conduct classes on learning self-control after he mastered the art of eating just ‘one’ kaju katli and stopping there.

We interviewed Sanyam and here’s what he said, “I don’t think this is that amazing a feat like the media guys are portraying. In fact, it didn’t take me any effort at all; because I have been taught self-control right from my childhood. I grew up in a middle class family. Whenever I saw other kids getting new things, I had the urge to get them too. But lack of money taught me self-control. Then in engineering, my friends used to go for night-outs and eat non-veg and drink alcohol. But being an annoying vegetarian taught me self-control. Then all my friends started dating girls and getting married. But here again, my mechanical engineering degree taught me self-control. I have been controlling myself right from my childhood. So stopping at just one kaju katli is nothing for me. You see this box here?” he takes out one kaju katli and eats it.

Our reporter observed him for 10 minutes, but he doesn’t have the urge to nor does he eat even one more kaju katli. Our reporter gasps. He added, “You see? I am as calm as a cucumber. I am grateful to The Yoga Institute that they have called me to take classes on self-control. I hope to teach others to learn self-control in each and every way possible. It is the only solution to end violence and bring peace to the world.”

At this point, our reporter’s phone rang, which had a song of Dhinchak Pooja as its ringtone. This is when Sanyam started behaving absurdly. His hand started shaking and he started losing his control. We had to end the interview after he started slapping our interviewer for using that ringtone.
