Mumbai. Ever since the release of Airlift in 2016, Akshay Kumar, it looked like, found his true calling as far as films are concerned. In the last 3 years, barring Housefull 3, all the film releases of Akshay either had a patriotic element in them or carried a social message. John Abraham too seems to be on the same path. His last couple of films be it RAW – Romeo Akbar Walter, Satyameva Jayate, Parmanu – The Story of Pokharan, Force 2 and the upcoming Independence Day release, Batla House – all are surrounded by patriotic themes.
Akshay and John, in fact, have lots of bulletproof jackets lying with them and their collection is much more than the supplier of the jackets to Mumbai Police.
Mumbai police recently faced a shortage of bullet-proof jackets for their workforce and it was not feasible to get so many jackets from their supplier on a quick notice. This is when they decided to take the help of John and Akshay and ordered 200-300 jackets on rent from the two superstars combined.
John and Akshay have the latest style bullet-proof jackets, something that the Mumbai Police has never seen before as the police force still uses the older versions of the jacket. Akshay and John have tailor-made stylish costly bullet-proof jackets which the police force cannot buy and that is the reason that the force is taking them on rent and not buying them.
