Nitin Gadkari reaches Varanasi to speak about Highways development in last 3 years, arrives 2 hrs late due to bad roads

13, Jun 2017 By Santosh Pradhan

Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Nitin Gadkari, on Monday vowed to make possible waterway travel from Varanasi to Allahabad before 2019 Kumbh mela. Gadkari reached an event held in Varanasi to speak about Modi Government’s push in the last 3 years to improve the road infrastructure in the country. But surprising is the fact that he himself reached late to the function as condition of  the road was very bad.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in New Delhi

Gadkari, who made comments after meeting Yogi Adityanath, also assured Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister of converting 73 State Highways into National Highways. “We have been assured 73 State Highways will be converted into National Highways”, Adityanath told media. But when our Faking News reporter asked about the reason as to why Gadkari ji reached late to the event, there was no response. It is believed that the road from Lucknow to Varanasi has been in the same condition since last 3 years. Many politicians have visited and promised the improvement of the road, but everything is still on paper.

Nitin Gadkari, in fact gave a strange reason for him turning up late to the event. He said that the roads were so beautiful that he stopped at every 100 meters to click selfies. He further added that he plans to make very road in India as beautiful as the ones in Varanasi. Nitinji also said that spitting on roads and throwing garbage would be made a punishable offence. New metro pillars will be provided in major cvities for people to come and spit there. There will be a charge levied for each spit. People habituated of spitting would be able to buy a pass for a particular number of spits.

Well, it is to be seen if the 2 hr delay can open the eyes of a Union minister.
