Just days after Abdul Razzaq called Bumrah a ‘baby bowler’, reactions from Indian cricketers were seen all over social media. Many called him out for mocking the Indian fast bowler by calling him ‘baby’.
While reacting to the comments, ex-Pak Fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has asked India players to refrain from any kind of impulsive response to Razzaq. Akhtar said that he will soon be sharing his next video on this issue that will ‘put Razzaq in the right place’.
While speaking exclusively to Faking News, Akhtar said, “Mujhe samajh nahi aata ye Razzaq aise comments kyu karta hai. Cheap publicity stunt lagta hai mujhe ye. Isko ‘baby’ ki spelling bhi aani nahi hai fir bhi apna caliper(calibre) dikha raha hai.”
Shoaib also issued a veiled warning to Pak players warning them against making irresponsible statements. Shoaib has been a vocal critic of Pak players on many occasions which includes his famous ‘pizza-burger’ rant against Shoaib Mallik during the last World Cup.
Though he didn’t directly name any Indian player, he said that the Indian pace attack was the best in the world. “No doubt that Kohli has got the right guys in the team. And I am not saying this to get a contract during the IPL,” he remarked.
Players from the Indian side and also senior members of hte BCCI agreed that htere was not need for anyone to comment on any Pak players statements “When we have Shoaib then why worry. He will take care of everything. In fact we are also looking at having him as part of the team that handle social media for the Indian players,” revealed a BCCI official.
