Noida: A resident of Sector 62 in Noida has made a sensational claim that he managed to get 6 hours of uninterrupted power supply at his home yesterday. The man, Satpal Singh, said that he didn’t face a single power cut for 6 hrs, something that has been unheard of in Uttar Pradesh.

However, the Uttar Pradesh government has dismissed this claim calling it fake news. A Chief Engineer in electricity department said, “Who is this guy that we will supply uninterrupted power to him? Even the Chief Minister isn’t getting 6 hours of uninterrupted supply and we will give it to some random person? As responsible journalists, you should be aware that such a situation is impossible in our state and you should have ignored his claim instead of publicizing it.”

“Maybe he is on drugs and couldn’t keep track of time properly. We are delivering a power cut every 2 or 3 hours promptly, in fact our power lines are so used to power cuts that they will themselves stop transmitting power if we forget to cut power from our side. This is what Donald Trump will call “Fake News” and that person should be booked for misleading others in the state,” the Chief Engineer added.

However, Satpal Singh stuck to his claim that there was no power cut for 6 hours. Speaking to Faking News, Satpal said, “Maybe government is denying it because now others may start asking for electricity without power cuts as well but what I am saying is true. When fan kept on spinning even after 3-4 hours, I thought maybe there is some fault with the fan. Then I tried switching on the light and even the tubelight worked, that is when I was sure that I am still getting power supply. I almost had a heart attack because of the shock I experienced.”

Meanwhile, electricity department is considering a defamation suit against Satpal for hurting their image.
