Tamil Nadu CM O Pannerselvam, who met PM Modi a few days back to get the Center’s support on conducting Jallikattu, today met Bollywood actor Salman Khan to get a reversal on Supreme Court’s ban on the festival.

TN-CM-with-SalmanThe CM flew down to Mumbai this morning and met Salman at Galaxy apartment. Sources say that he handed letter to the actor explaining why the ban on the festival needs to go.

With the recent cases going in favor of Salman Khan, the State Govt. decided to approach the actor with the hope that the actor will use his influence to get another favorable decision from the court.

There were also reports that the Bollywood actor initially refused to enlist his support for the festival after reading the letter but later agreed after it was found that there was some miscommunication due to a typo in the letter.

Faking News reporter spoke to Salman’s bodyguard Shera to get more information on the miscommunication. He said “Pehle Bhai thoda tension me the. Letter mein Jallikattu ko ‘Jail’kattu likha tha. And you know how much Bhai has been avoiding Jail all this while. Then they sent another letter with the correct spelling. Ab sab theek hai.”

Many supporters were hopeful that AR Rahman’s fast would get the Center to expedite the process, but it did nothing. Sources say that PMO officials called the music maestro and reminded him of ‘Take it Easy Policy’.

Now however, with the news of Salman lending his support, the protesters were already seen making arrangements for  conducting the bull taming festival.
