Mumbai. PM Modi urged the people to observe janta curfew – a self-imposed curfew by the public, for the public – on March 22 between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm.
So on Sunday you will see empty roads, offices, and the news studios which usually work on 7 days of the week. The first person to react to the news of Janta Curfew was Sambit Patra who spends a substantial amount of time in the Republic studio.
Sambit was seen stocking up the studio with essential commodities which he will use on Sunday. Sambit brought food, toothpaste, books, clothes, medicines, and other packaged items which will be used on Sunday. He also took the HD connection of Set Max to be able to watch Sooryavansham on Sunday.
It is not clear whether Arnab will join him or not, but chances are less of that happening as Arnab goes to his home and comes to the studio only for work. While in the case of Sambit Patra, he normally stays in the studio and goes home only once in a while. Others who can join Sambit in the studio can be GD Bakshi and Nalin Kohli.
