Polling booths to be kept at Juhu Beach to prevent Mumbaikars from gathering there

Mumbai. The Mumbai police has started clearing up the picturesque beach front at Juhu, one of the most visited places in the city and a major tourist attraction, in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

But people were still coming in huge numbers and the beach was almost full on a Monday. People took work from home as work from vacation and took their families out to Juhu Beach and Marine Drive. BMC has come up with a unique solution to tackle the issue.

BMC will install polling booths at Juhu beach and Marine drive and other crowded places, to scare away Mumbaikars. Mumbaikars, as we all know are very scared of voting, the voter turnout number in the assembly poll was a good indicator. BMC wants to use this fear to fight Corona. More and more polling stations will be installed at all crowded places like Bandra, Juhu, Lokhandwala where people often go to hang out with friends.

If the idea is successful then the EC will declare elections in Mumbai so that no Mumbaikar comes out of his/her house. Though UP and Bihar government will have to come with other ideas as people there are too excited to caste their vote.
