The controversy over the two bananas, that cost actor Rahul Bose 442.50 Rs, got as new twist today after authorities hinted at a possibility of the bananas being sent for narco analysis.
The actor had earlier posted a video on social media of JW Marriot hotel in Chandigarh where he ordered two bananas which cost him 442 bucks and a lot of heartburn. The visibly angry actor sought answers from the hotel management as to how they could justify the cost of the bananas.
After this news made it to news channels, Chandigarh DC ordered investigation into the incident. Excise and Taxation department is also looking into the matter.
Sources say that authorities are not leaving leaving anything to chance and the bananas will also be sent for narco analysis to a forensic lab in Hyderabad.
The two bananas would be questioned at length to know more about their journey from a tree to JW Marriot hotel. Investigators feel that it would provide vital insights and could also make up a water tight case against the hotel for the exorbitant bill.
An assistant at the forensic lab spoke to Faking News under condition of anonymity and said, “Most people would be skeptical about these test on the bananas. But let me tell you that we has previously done on Maggi packets when questions were raised about the lead content in packaged noodles. And the analysis did deliver the results. The packets were taken off the shelves.”
“Give us those bananas. We will question both of them separately and tell you if they are really worth that price,” he added.
Rahul Bose, who was surprised at the reaction his story got, welcomed the move and hoped that the truth would be out and others wouldn’t have to go through the fleecing he experienced.
