The Citizenship Amendment bill, introduced in the parliament yesterday, evoked a lot of hue and cry not just in the parliament but also outside it. Opposition parties vehemently opposed it and even said that they would all it took to stop it.
Farmer turned business Robert Vadra too expressed strong reservations over its implementation.
Robert stated that it would lead to many genuine citizens turning into refugees. However the businessman said that he was ready to help all those displaced due to the draconian bill.
“I am a farmer and I can understand your pain. This bill has been introduced with the sole purpose of diving people and I won’t let that happen. So I am ready to offer my land to accommodate all refugees. I have land all over India and am willing to give these displaced people a place to stay,” he said while speaking to our reporter.
When our reporter asked him if ‘he was serious’, Vadra responded with an affirmative nod of the head.
Robert added that the land will have all the facilities for the refugees to lead a fulfilling life. All basic necessities along with gym facilities will be provided to all people.
“When I say land i don’t mean just plain land. Displaced people will get all the facilities that a common citizen like me gets,” he added.
Vadras statement caused a furore in the parliament once again. Ruling BJP called it a stupid and worthless idea.
