Mumbai: With every passing day in Maharashtra, chances of government formation are decreasing and value of MLAs is increasing. With pre-poll BJP-Shiv Sena alliance in tatters, and Sanjay Raut losing 170 MLAs he had at Dadar station, nobody has been able to stake claim with majority support.
It is not as if there haven’t been attempts to form the government during the past month. Everyone is meeting everyone but apart from demolishing one plate after another of Samosa-Kachori, nothing much has been achieved. The delay is making Shiv Sena leadership anxious and they are afraid that Amit Shah will come out and do what he does best, taking away MLAs from other parties.
In order to make sure Amit Shah doesn’t manage to reach their MLAs, Shiv Sena has put up all their MLAs in Virar fast. They are spending the entire day going back and forth between Virar and Churchgate. Veteran Virar fast daily passengers who are famous for stopping Borivali passengers from entering the train have been deputed as the bodyguards of these MLAs.
Speaking to Faking News, a senior Shiv Sena leader said, “We tried to do the decent political thing of hiding our MLAs in a resort, but that would have turned out to be very expensive since this deadlock is likely to last for months, if not weeks. We initially tried a cheap guesthouse type arrangement but everyone just felt too exposed there so we came up with this idea.”
“We got 3 months’ passes done for all our MLAs and we boarded the train at 4 AM one morning. It is safe, it is cheap, and no way can anyone reach these MLAs sitting in the middle of the compartment. They are isolated, yet can be quickly reached if we ever do need them. This is the perfect arrangement”, he added.
Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut visited Sharad Pawar’s house for the 113th time to try and come to an agreement on Shiv Sena-NCP-INC alliance.
