Sri Lankan cricketers opt out of Pak tour due to security reasons, PCB arranges performance by belly dancers to woo Lankan players

It seems only belly dancers can rescue Pakistan from both cricketing and economic crisis. Reacting to Sri Lankan teams refusal to play in Pakistan due to security reasons, the apex cricketing board in Pakistan is now using belly dancers to somehow help Lankan players to change their mind.

Cash strapped Pak Cricket Board was depending heavily on the upcoming tour for a revival of fortunes. But seeing the reluctance from Lankan players, PCB is doing all it can to mitigate the situation.

A decision was taken at a high level meeting that was attended by top PCB officials. After series of presentations and impromptu performance by belly dancers, the green signal for the event was finally given.

A few board members however questioned the rationale of holding such an event when there was already so much criticism floating around. But they were overruled by the PCB Chief.

A senior official said that it makes sense to use these dancers. While speaking to Faking News he said, “We had already made advance payment to the belly dancers. After all the flak we received for the investment summit. We had to cancel their performance and they are now sitting idle. Since we are not going to get out money back, we thought it would be prudent to use them (dancers) to woo the Sri Lankan cricket team.”

The idea has also found favor with Pak PM Imran Khan who said that every possible method to get investment into Pakistan should be appreciated.

An official communique has been sent to the Sri Lankan Board to attend the belly dance event. It is not yet clear if the Lankan Board has accepted he proposal.
