We still exchange 'Good Morning' messages on WhatsApp: Mayawati after split with Samajwadi Party

Shortly after announcing a split with poll ally Samajwadi Party, Mayawati said that she was on good terms with Akhilesh and Dimple. BSP Supremo while speaking to the media dumped the entire blame for the Look Sabha Mahagatbandhan fiasco on Akhilesh Yadav and said that her party will fight the UP by-polls alone.

However, in the same breath Mayawati remarked that she is still in touch with Akhilesh and Dimple and was overwhelmed with the respect she received from them. “We may be fighting by polls separately, but we are not cut off entirely. I still receive Good Morning messages from Dimple. Before Lok Sabha polls, we formed a Whatsapp group to share jokes, memes etc on Modi and Amit Shah.”

“It is because of political compulsions that I have to call off the alliance but its not that we aren’t communicating,” she added.

Mayawati is also planning to take her social networking game a notch higher. Sources say that she is planning to make her debut on Instagram very soon.

Akhilesh too echoed BSP Chief’s sentiments and blamed her squarely for the poll debacle. “Her strategy was a disaster. All she does is read speeches that are written for her. None of the words that come from her mouth are ever written by her. I doubt if she even understands what she says,” he commented.

“There is no way I am going to repeat the same mistake for by-polls. But having said that, let me also say that we do indeed keep in tough via Whatsapp. I make it a point to read her daily motivational quotes that she sends,” Akhilesh said.

Both leaders clarified that though they may throw muck at each other during by-poll elections, there is every possibility of coming together to fight BJP to maintain the secular fabric of the country.
