Vegetarian man protesting cow slaughter ban by cutting photographs of cows

29, May 2017 By Sandeep Kadian

New Delhi: The cow slaughter ban in the country has sparked an intense debate between the people supporting and opposing this decision. Last few days have seen quite a few ‘beef fests’ in some parts of the country to oppose this ban. Some members of youth Congress in Kerala even slaughtered a calf in the open to support cow slaughter.

No need to kill it, just cut a photo to register protest

32 yrs old Anoop Kumar, a vegetarian since birth, also wanted to oppose the ban on cow slaughter but couldn’t figure out how he can contribute. Finally, after thinking about it for a long time, he has come up with a perfect plan, he will take printout of cow’s photos, and will then cut them to show his displeasure.

Explaining his decision, Anoop said ,”Well I didn’t like it that the government is regulating our food habits but at the same time, I don’t want to eat beef or even smell beef, and forget public slaughter of a cow, I will faint if I even thought about it. Therefore, I really had to think out of the box to register my protest. Now I may not be able to slaughter a cow but I can definitely use my scissors to cut a photograph of a cow.”

“I immediately downloaded 100s of pics of cows and kept printing them till the office printer ran out of ink. Even my boss thought I must be working really hard today since I was going to the printer to collect papers every few minutes. Well, this is work as well, social work. I brought all those photos home and then kept running my scissors all over them for hours”, Anoop added.

When we asked if this unique protest of his will change the regulations around cow slaughter, Anoop replied ,”Sir change to wo Kerala ke cow slaughter se bhi kuch nahi hone wala, it is just a way to show the world that I am dedicated protester and will always keep protesting till my last breath.”
