Mumbai. Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami appeared for interrogation in a case against him for allegedly defaming Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Monday.

Arnab asked some tough questions to the police and he was continuously asking questions without letting the police to answer. He went on for 2 hours before the police asked him to go and said that they have finished the interrogation. This is the first time in history that the police was not able to ask a single question to the person they had called after sending two notices in the last 12 hours.

Goswami had launched a full-blown attack on Gandhi and claimed that she had orchestrated the Palghar lynching in Maharashtra. Arnab had also alleged that there were some politicians behind the attack on his car. The matter is being investigated, but Arnab says that he has all the data and proof with names of the politicians and will expose them in the next debate. In his statement on Sunday, Goswami asked the Mumbai Police to show “similar alacrity and sense of immediacy” to investigate the attack.

Arnab has also invited the Mumbai Police commissioner to attend the debate to answer some tough questions.
